New Threats against Colombian Human Rights Defenders

The Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) denuncia nuevas amenazas contra defensores de derechos humanos Piedad Cordoba, Ivan Cepeda y Gloria Cuarta.

WOLA strongly condemns the audio death threat against Piedad Cordoba, Ivan Cepeda and Gloria Cuartas. We encourage Andres Villamizar of the Ministry of the Interior’s National Protection Unit to take every step necessary to protect the lives of these Colombians. The U.S. Embassy in Bogota and United Nations should publicly denounce this death threat.
