Another Cry for Independence in Peace with Socio-Environmental Justice

Today, 20 July, a thank you to those who have given their best in the health service, to those who have lost their acquaintances to the pandemic, our solidarity. Today we remember a cry. A cry that is still necessary. A cry that continues to be drowned out. That cry is in the leaders killed, since the signing of the peace, already exceed the more than 500 and are approaching the 1000. It is also, the lives cut short of the signatories of the peace, already go towards the quarter of a thousand, and some of their relatives.

There are the still unanswered cries of the more than 80 thousand disappeared in this last war of more than 60 years, which has not yet ended. They are the thousands of thousands of people who have been disappeared by state structures that have become criminals. They are the people who were kidnapped, detained or deprived of liberty by the guerrillas without knowing yet where they are. They are the millions of displaced people, uprooted people who left their lands and those who were dispossessed. They are the more than 220 thousand dead by the socio-political violence.

They are the thousands of violent women in which the warriors unloaded their own revenge on their own pains, and in false loyalty to their ideology. They are the millions of children without possibility of healthy families, of home, of education, of health, of a minimum satisfaction of rights. They are the cries of social exclusion. They are the screaming of our mother earth that cries with extermination of forests, waters, animals and our abiotic beauty.

It is the cry that is hidden behind millions of rural inhabitants who seek to fulfill their rights through the planting of coca. It is the cry that is revealed of an unequal society without the shame and the minimum of solidarity of other citizens with great privileges towards the excluded in their own home, the homeland .It is the cry of thousands of impoverished people who only find in weapons, the possibility of survival, of being recognized, of eating or of trying to be seen as a person with rights, and in that bet for life blindly attack the rights of the other people. Impoverished killing other impoverished, against each other. It is the cry of young people and middle sectors with bankrupt companies, without education and health.

The goal of destroying the fabric of an integral and transversal dream of peace has been there since before and in the signing of the agreement with the FARC, in the table with the ELN, and in the failed acceptance of the AGC. Sectors of the FFMM and the police, politicians and businessmen who moved away from the discord, war continues to be encouraged and given the pandemic situation is being qualifying.

Armed violence and the inequality in which it is expressed must be addressed with basic income and an inclusive State.

These are some of the cries that today need to be heard in the midst of this custom of deafness, of an injustice that becomes landscape.
Today in particular we invite you in the transforming memory, to read our requests:

To the members of the Special Jurisdiction of Peace, JEP, our support. Its constitutional mission will continue to be questioned, blocked by political, business and society sectors that are far from understanding and accepting its work because of fears and narrows interests.
We call on you to act diligently and in due process, avoiding the vain legalism that prevents the victims and the country from knowing the truth.

There are JEP decisions that are really incomprehensible to us victims. Expectations of knowing truths are frustrated for us when we see that many applicants with a certain willingness to enunciate truths are rejected. We know that those who want the truths not to be known are happy.

To the members of the Commission for the Clarification of the Truth, CEV, our support in the midst of the attacks they are suffering. Expressions of defamation are intended to delegitimize the noble cause of asserting, sustaining and collating truths. That is the risk of carrying out a mission, as it has happened to us and to hundreds more.

We call on the CEV to concentrate its territorial efforts on coexistence, guarantees of non-repetition. In order to carry out your mandate fully, we invite you to seek to extend your term of office for at least one more year. Virtuality is far from supplying the direct contact our territories require.

To the peace legislators of Congress, we recognize your efforts and initiatives avoiding the shipwreck of the peace agreed, we support the bills of Basic Income and environmental protection.

We know that they will continue to exercise political control and we call on them to make decisions so that they are in our territories. We are silenced, we are suffering the crisis of peace with new violence and we need to be heard in our territories.

To the military commanders, to the soldiers, to the police, and state agents who are in peace-building with due disobedience, our recognition for acting in conscience, revealed the persecution against our community processes in illegal operations and the nefarious Democratic security policy.

Acting with respect for human rights, humanitarian law and the right to peace is the honour of the military.

To those who are before the JEP and the CEV we invite you to persist in enunciating their truths without fear, we support them.

To the businessmen we have met, who distance themselves from crime and violence, and from corruption, thank you for showing us another sense of construction possible for the country respecting human rights and the environment. We call on you to persist in these purposes, even if there is less monetary gain, if there is the profit of a different country.

Entrepreneurs who are appearing before the JEP and the CEV, count on us.

We call on the ELN guerrillas to persist in peace, to evaluate all the practices that are in contradiction with their enunciations and identity. While dialogue with the State is possible, we invite you to conclude local humanitarian agreements, respecting the autonomy of our local processes, respecting the life and integrity of all civilians, to refrain from involving boys and girls and young people in their armed strategies and recognize our community justice. We ask that you to publicize your territorial peace initiatives. To the FARC 2da Marquetalia and to those who identify themselves as part of a legacy of transformation to persist in the search for peace and dialogue to build peace, meanwhile adopting humanitarian law. As long as dialogue with the State is possible, we call on you to arrange humanitarian agreements respecting the lives and integrity of all civilians, to refrain from involving boys and girls and young people in your armed strategies and to recognize our community justice. We call on you to publicize your territorial peace initiatives.

To the AGC that affirm their origin in the breach also of a disarmament pact, we call on them to persist in their contribution to peace with proposals for judicial, social shelter. While there may be a State willing to seek solutions, we call on them to respect the autonomy of local and regional processes, to respect the life and integrity of all civilians, to refrain from involving girls and boys and young people in their armed strategies. We invite you to publicize your proposals to leave your situations within the framework of guarantees of territorial non-repetition.

To all expressions of organized rural and urban violence that are defined with territorial commands and controls to respect the life and integrity of all civilians, to refrain from pressure, not involve girls and young people in their armed strategies, and to make known their initiatives to way out their situation of illegality.

We continue to build peace in the territories.
